Santa Fe with Friends

  We decided to take a few days of vacation in Santa Fe, one of our favorite places, especially in July when Texas is hot and humid. On the way in we stopped at Sage Bake House for a light lunch.  They are known for having really great bread and we had taken some of their green chile cheese bread home on a previous trip.  I had the daily soup, a farmhouse vegetable soup with parsnips, potatoes, and kale and the Avocado and Serrano Ham Tartine, an open faced creation with avocado and ham, broiled on top to crisp the ham.  It was in need of something, but after a light sprinkling of salt, I loved it.  Steve's ham and fontina...
